Robert T Langenstein Sr. , 70, South Coventry
Robert T. Langenstein, age 70, beloved husband of Charlotte (Kitchen) Langenstein, died on Tuesday evening at Pottstown Hospital Tower Health. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Howard and Elizabeth(Klein) Langenstein.
Robert was born and raised in Nicetown, Philadelphia. He graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School. Robert proudly served in the United States Army, a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was employed for thirty-seven years as an electrician for SEPTA until his retirement. Robert enjoyed sports, especially Flyers hockey, playing fantasy football and he was an avid baseball fan and memorabilia collector. He loved spending time with his family and being a part of his grandchildren’s lives.
In addition to his wife of fifty years, he is survived by his daughter, Denise, wife of James Foster of Kimberton and his son: Robert Jr. of Ephrata. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Hannah, Matthew and Thomas as well as his two brothers: Howard and Gary Langenstein.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11:30am at the St. Basil the Great Church 2300 Kimberton Road Kimberton PA 19442. The Rev. Gary Pacitti officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held in the church Saturday from 10 am to 11:30 am.
